Welcome to Wheel Spinning, a free set of spinning wheels for picking names, making decisions and running fair draws. Teachers use it to call on students, streamers to pick viewers, giveaway hosts to draw winners, and families and friends to settle who goes first. Every wheel runs in your browser, with no account and nothing to install.

Who's behind Wheel Spinning

I'm Melissa T. Brown, the developer and writer behind Wheel Spinning. I build the wheels, write the pages and guides, and test each tool before it goes live.

My aim is a wheel you can trust at a glance. The result should be decided fairly, the odds should be explained in plain numbers, and nothing on your list should leave your device. Take the yes or no wheel: Yes lands 50% of the time, and a 7–3 split or wider shows up in about a third of 10-spin runs. Numbers like these are worked out from the rules the wheel follows.

How the wheels are built

Four rules shape every wheel on the site.

• No account. Every feature works without signing up.
• Your lists stay with you. Entries, saved wheels, images and sounds are stored in your browser, not on a server.
• Honest randomness. Each result is drawn with the browser's cryptographic random number generator before the wheel moves, and the only way to change the odds is a weight you can see. See how the draw works.
• Links that last. A share link carries the wheel inside the link itself, so it never expires.

How each wheel is tested

A wheel only goes live once it passes a set of automated checks and a look on real screens.

• The random draw runs 100,000 times in a test to confirm every entry lands at its expected rate.
• Weights, team splits, elimination mode, file imports and share links each have tests of their own.
• Each page is checked for speed, accessibility, broken links and structured data before it's published.
• Facts that come from outside the site, such as the coin-flip study on the yes or no page, link to their source.
